Study decks
Learning a set's places with short questions before you play.
Study is short multiple-choice questions to learn a set's places before the quiz. It never counts towards a score.
Open Study from the menu and pick a set, or press Study first when a quiz starts, or Study the ones you missed when it ends.
The decks
- The ones you keep missing: places you've got wrong lately, if there are any.
- The whole set, split into decks of up to ten.
Each deck shows how many of its places you've learned.
How it works
Each question has six answers to choose from. The wrong ones are chosen to be tricky: neighbours, look-alikes, and places you've mixed up before. Depending on the set, you might be asked:
- which region a place is in;
- what a place's capital is;
- which place a capital belongs to;
- which flag is a place's.
Get one wrong and it comes back later in the same sitting. Get it right and it comes back after a longer gap each time.
A place is learned when every kind of question about it has been right on four different days.
