Joining your class
How to join with your code, and how to sign in after that.
Your teacher gives you two things:
- the address of your class. It ends in /c/ and a word, like /c/7b.
- your own claim code. It looks like ABCD-EFGH-JKMN-PQRS.
The first time
- Open your class's address.
- Choose Join with a code.
- Type your claim code. Capital letters and dashes don't matter.
- Choose a PIN. It's six numbers. It can't be all the same number, and it can't be a run like 123456.
- Press Join.
You're in! Your code only works once, so you won't need it again.
Every time after that
- Open your class's address.
- Type your username and your PIN.
- Press Sign in.
Your username was made for you when you joined. You can see it on your Account page, where it says "Signed in as". Your teacher can see it too.
On your own device, tick Remember my username on this device. Then you won't have to type it next time. Don't tick it on a shared computer.
If it doesn't work
- "That code did not work." Check the code with your teacher.
- "That username and PIN did not match." Check both and try again.
- "Too many attempts." Wait a little while, then try again.
- "This class is not active right now." Tell your teacher.
